Dakine expands MTB packs range

Since launching its mountain bike collection in 1999, Dakine has crafted purpose-driven gear with design and accessibility. The brand has now released information about the latest additions to the range.

Evolving from the popular Drafter 12L pack, the new Drafter series features three sizes: 10L, 14L and 18L. Updated features include DK impact Spine Protector compatibility and a new three-litre Hydrapak lumber reservoir that creates more cargo space and keeps the weight low and balanced.

Dakine has also debuted the new Builder’s Pack which offers almost 40 per cent more space than the previous model. Re-designed and constructed from heavy duty 1000D Nylon fabric for abrasion and tear resistance, the new pack boasts 40 litres of carrying capacity for tools and supplies.

To accommodate larger new trucks, Dakins has created the new Pick Up Pad DLX, which fits the deeper tailgate handles and also doesn’t obscure built-in backup cameras. The anti-theft construction includes a heavy-duty grommet to add to a lock.

The range includes a host of travel bags including the Descent Duffle, which is a U-shaped opening bag with a dedicated section for helmets and the Split EQ wheeled bag.

The whole range of new products will be available by the end of February at speciality retailers and online at the Dakine website.
