Dawes Cycles has launched its new site with a revamped Dealer Locator and 360 product imagery.
According to the brand, the Dealer Locator has been updated to allow a much more personalised search and, gives the user an interactive map to view or, gain precise directions.
Gary Conway told BikeBiz: "The sole purpose of the website is to promote Dawes products, then pass the potential customer onto their nearest IBD. We’re not looking to sell direct, or stop customers visiting their local bike shop for a look around, our new website is testament to that.
"We’ve contacted our dealer base to ask them to check their details on the new Dealer Locator and, if any amendments are required, we’d urge them to email gary.conway@dawescycles.com."
Dawes has invested in 360 degree photography equipment and brought a lot of the web development in-house so it can react quicker and keep the site moving forward with up to date news, banners, etc much faster than before.
Conway added: "I’m really happy with the final product and, with it being responsive to the various viewing platforms, it allows our customers to browse the site on whatever device they use. The background imagery has been updated to follow suit with our new catalogue and, each product category sees the background image change to suit – something I’ve not come across on many other sites."
Feedback from the trade so far has been positive, the firm said, particularly towards the new 360 product imagery. 99 per cent of the bike range now has a spinning image – they’d need a bigger piece of kit for our tandems.
Dawes’ all new B2B website is almost close to release, giving its customers access to live stock information and, 24/7 ordering capability for all the products. The site is currently going through testing and all being well, will be launched next month.
