Company says it is 'finalising plans to work with new distributor' for later in the year

Easton Bell Sports speaks on distribution change

Following Madison’s statement earlier this week, explaining why the firm will be parting company with Easton Bell Sports from the end of the season, Easton has also issued a statement on the move.

In the statement, Easton Bell said a new distributor is being lined up to take on the UK business later in the year – but didn’t reveal which company would be filling the role.

The firm said: “Easton-Bell Sports has severed ties with its UK distributor, Madison, to focus on growth opportunities with a new partner better suited to the longer-term needs of its business and the retailers it serves. The company is finalising plans to work with a leading cycle distributor in the UK and Ireland.

"The new team will oversee local distribution and sales growth for the company’s Giro, Easton Cycling, Bell and Blackburn brands starting on July 1, 2013. More details on the company’s new UK partner will be disclosed shortly.”
