Potential safety issue identified in all 2007 to 2009 units

Easton recalls EA 30 stem

Easton has identified a potential safety issue involving its four bolt EA 30 stem.

The stem in question can crack and eventually break during use, therefore the brand is voluntarily recalling all of the 2007, 2008 and 2009 EA units affected.

The model had met all required industry standards, however the particular issue was not identified during these tests.

The EA 30 stems in question have been sold as individually packaged pieces and equipped on bicycle brands.

The production date, which is found on the side of the clamp next to the lower clamping screw, will identify if the EA 30 stem is included in the recall.

Extra UK can be contacted for further information on the recall and replacement units.
