A brand new 2,000 square foot 'destination store' for e-bikes has opened in Coulsdon, Surrey.
The new Cycling Made Easy showroom on Brighton Road is four times larger than its original store and, says the brand, 'promises to give consumers more choice than ever before'.
A growing e-bike market has fuelled the expansion, the firm said, including the recruitment of more staff, including Rob Montgomery. Formerly of Max Track, Montgomery will deal directly with customers.
He said: "From the point of view of the consumer, the new showroom is great. There is a huge range on offer - we probably have the largest stock of Scott e-bikes in the country - but we also have the space to actually handle the bikes and get a really good look at them.
"There is also access to quiet roads and off-road trails for test-rides and if you're visiting us by car, there's a large car park opposite our Lion Green Road entrance."
Cycling Made Easy founder Ray Wookey added: "The new showroom, which has two main roads either side, is giving e-bikes mainstream visibility and putting e-bikes into the mind of the commuters who drive past everyday, the parents walking their kids to school or the conventional cyclists who stop by to buy their inner tubes from us.
"There has been a stigma attached to e-bikes for such a long time but we hope that this large showroom shows people how proud we are of the products and tempts them to try this wonderful mode of transport."
