Go Harlem Brundtland, former prime minister of Norway, will deliver the keynote speech of Velo-City 2011 in Seville next month.

Brundtland was minister for environment and three-times elected PM, chaired the United Nations Development and Environment Commission for the 'Our Common Future' report and is credited with coining the 'sustainable development' term.

Velo-City, now in its 17th year, is an international event and meeting between governmental policy makers, urban and traffic planner, the industry and many other authorities to discuss the use of the bicycle as a means of transportation.

Brundtland is one of 120 speakers from 30 countries scheduled to speak at the conference.
