Hot off the back of 5 awards last week from the Troy Lee distributor awards dinner, Fisher has scooped another trophy – this time from Halfords for the Omni-Channel Supplier of the year.
Halfords presented Fisher with the award this week at their annual supplier conference in recognition of the excellent service and availability the distributor has provided for both their bricks and mortar and online retail channels.
James Browning, Fisher CEO, said: “This is a great result for us given the number of strong suppliers across all the Halfords categories we were up against. It demonstrates our ability to support retailers with solutions to the challenges and opportunities that online offers as well continuing to deliver an excellent service to the traditional retail channel.”
Over the last 12 months Fisher has been rolling out initiatives which support both online retailers and specialist IBDs. Recently, the margin support initiatives across Rockshox, Zipp and Tacx has enabled specialist IBDs to compete more fairly with pure online retailers. Whilst the introduction of their Product Information Management system, also provides faster and better quality product data for retailers who have transactional retail websites.
