Fisher Outdoor Leisure has announced the start of a new partnership with Campagnolo.
From today the distributor will be pre-selling the full range of Campagnolo 2015 wheelsets and groupsets with first deliveries into retailers from April 1st.
Fisher CEO James Browning said: “Campagnolo is a flagship brand with unrivalled heritage and manufacturing experience, a wealth of racing credentials and are a dedicated pioneer of new and innovative technologies for the road enthusiast.
"Our long term distribution goal is to marry specialist brands with specialist retailers thus ensuring that incredible products are properly represented to UK consumers via retailers who are passionate about quality service, support and representation of brands such as Campagnolo.
"Our focus with Campagnolo will be 100% orientated towards the IBD channel to whom we will offer an unrivalled programme of range, availability, in store POS support, staff training and service and spares back up thus helping them to compete with genuine points of difference versus those online retailers who are purely focused on promotional activity."
Fisher said it is the latest in a series of initiatives to try and help the specialist IBD maintain market share in the face of increasing online competition. The Zipp and Tacx margin support programmes have been a huge success as has the launch of Early Rider with an IBD exclusive range. Fisher will be announcing more IBD support initiatives in the coming weeks.
A Campagnolo company spokesperson said: "We are delighted to be working with the team from Fisher. They have great experience of building brands in the UK market and their commitment to our new partnership has been built around their focus on wanting to bring quality brands to the UK IBD. This commitment was underlined with 20 members of their sales and marketing teams visiting our Vicenza factory for 2 days to immerse themselves in understanding our brand and the technology of our products."
Fisher will be stocking the 2015 wheelsets and groupset ranges and said they aim to give their dealer base unrivalled service across a number of areas including instore sales tools, margin support, stock availability and free delivery.
