Li126 Bicicletta to get official launch at Cycle Show next week, with range details set to appear spring 2010

Fisher reveals Lambretta details

Iconic brand Lambretta, the rights to which were secured by Fisher Outdoor Leisure in September last year, has released details of limited edition model, titled Li126.

Based on the cult Lambretta scooter, the Li126 ‘city cruiser’ is set to retail at £599 RRP, and incorporates the brand’s vintage styling with a modern twist, according to Fishers. Available in a men’s (small, medium and large) and women’s (small and medium) version the Li126 is custom built sporting air suspensions, disc brakes and bespoke flat-design mudguards. The Lambretta logo appears on the aluminium frame

Only 500 Li126s have been produced, with the first presented to music and mod legend Paul Weller.

“We are very excited to be launching the Li126 Lambretta Bicicletta,” enthused Fisher Outdoor Leisure CEO Richard Allmark. “We are huge fans of Lambretta and as such have been faithful in our efforts to create a bicycle with style and class, that is in keeping with the brand heritage. Though the brand is vintage, the Li126 is a thoroughly modern bicycle. We have used the latest developments in bike technology and design to create a beautifully honed and high-performing ‘city cruiser’ bike. I’m delighted to announce that Fisher Outdoor plans further ranges of the Lambretta Bicicletta, and will announce further details in Spring 2010.”
