Fizik has introduced the new Tempo Powerstrap R5 road shoe.
It is the first model to be unveiled in fizik’s new Tempo road series and features the Powerstrap Velcro closure design.
This new enveloping closure system uses a double strap design to secure an adjustment ribbon that provides independent fit sections for the rider’s instep and midfoot area.
Instead of simply pulling together two sides of the shoe’s upper like traditional Velcro closures, Powerstrap features an anatomical ribbon configuration wrapping around the foot, for a combination of secure containment and supportive comfort, using just two straps.
The rider’s instep and the midfoot are separately adjustable areas that provide a fully customised all-enveloping fit and compression.
The dual Velcro straps are deliberately wide for easy adjustment, reliably secure fit and enhanced durability.

The road shoe features the R5 outsole, made with carbon reinforced nylon with optimum stiffness and some flex for comfort while remaining lightweight.
The upper is flexible to aid close fitting but also protects the wearer from the elements and stays durable.
The shoe also has perforations that aid temperature management for all-year-round riding.
