Forget Bowie, biggest event at V&A involves bikes

This month’s Friday Late event at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London is Eat, Ride, Sleep, Repeat, an evening of bicycle-themed talks, displays, performances, film and fashon. The event runs from 6.30pm to 10pm.

Events include Hoxton Cyclr Radio Show with David Preshaah; flatland BMX displays from One Wheel Motion bike crew; Bicycle Cultures: A Secret History hosted by Resonance FM Bike Show’s Jack Thurston; and a talk about graphic design and cycling led by Alice Marsh from Bike V Design, together with Andrew Diprose from The Ride Journal, James Greig from Cycle Love Blog, framebuilder Tom Donhou and Mike White from Boneshaker Magazine.

There will also be art installations from Regan Appleton and a display of portraits by Rapha photographer and associate editor of Albion magazine George Marshall.

Also at the evening will be displays from Look Mum No Hands, Ted James Design, Indian Bicycle Shop, and Bobbin Bicycles "with special guests from The Old Bicycle Showroom" who will "unlock the mysteries of the bicycle using traditional life drawing techniques."

All events are free but some need to be pre-booked.
