Didn't make it out to Core's debut summer event? Missed CSG's 2016 preview? We've got you covered.

Galleries and key points: Core Bike Live and CSG UK

With 2016 bike launches left, right and centre and slap bang in the middle of ‘summer’, few would blame you for not trusting the Saturday lad with the keys to the shop.

With that in mind, BikeBiz has been on the road this week and can now bring you photo galeries from both Core Bike Live and Cycling Sports Group UK‘s exhibitions.

Full reports from both exhibitions will follow in the September print magazine. In the meantime, some key points from both exhibitions:

Cycling Sports Group

  • Cycling Sports Group’s turnover is up a whopping 38 per cent year on year, which the firm suggests makes it the fastest growing long established distributor in the UK. The 2016 launch saw around 40 per cent more retailer registrations than the 2015 installment.
  • Despite the BMX market’s current difficulties, CSG told BikeBiz that its 20-inch portfolio is performing well.
  • Charge, which is currently celebrating ten years in business, is now carried in over 15 countries worldwide, including the USA, Japan, Singapore and several Nordic territories. All mountain bike models for 2016 have adopted the 27.5 plus tyre size.
  • GT will offer a 75 bike strong catalogue in the UK this year, while the Zaskar celebrates its 25th anniversary. The Zaskar line, among others, has undergone an overhaul to mark the milestone.
  • Fabric has added a £50 tri saddle (£70 with ti rails) to its range. This includes a transition area hook and bottle cage adapter.
  • Sugoi has shifted its focus slightly, revealing that it will now focus on road, tri and running markets. Meanwhile, clothing brand Sombrio has joined the portfolio.

Core Bike Live

  • Windwave has added over 35s-specific nutrition brand Elivar to its catalogue
  • Moore Large’s Bobbin brand has diversfied into balance and kids bikes. Meanwhile Cuda has invested in improving its kids offering, citing a need to provide quality beginner bikes to keep children hooked on cycling.
