Garmin introduces Forerunner 935 watch

Garmin has announced the release of the new Forerunner 935 GPS triathlon and running watch.

The new watch features updated performance monitoring tools and Eleveate wrist-based heart rate technology. In addition to 24/7 data capture, the Forerunner 935 includes new training features which allow users to fine-tune exercise and recovery to increase stamina and overall health.

The 935 model can also be easily paired with the new Running Dynamics Pod, allowing users to see all six running dynamics without the need for a chest strap.

A new print, digital and social media campaign is being released in conjunction with the watch, which features 13 professional Garmin-sponsored elite runners and triathletes from around the world. The campaign was designed to showcase what the brand calls the sophisticated dynamics offered by the Forerunner 935 to help athletes fine tune and elevate their training sessions.

“With similar features to the Fenix Five – our popular multisport GPS watch built for fitness, adventure and style – the Forerunner 935 is catered more towards athletes focused on performance and results,” said Garmin EMEA product manager, fitness Andrew Silver.

“As a top-of-the-line GPS smartwatch, the Forerunner 935 is super lightweight and comfortable to wear around the wrist; it provides users with insight into how their body is responding to fitness, as well as offers data for every activity. It allows users to automatically upload to Garmin Connect, and is customizable with free apps, data fields and more from the Connect IQ store.”

The Forerunner 935 features up to 24 hours of battery life in GPS mode, up to 60 hours in UltraTrac battery saver mode without optical HR and up to two weeks in watch mode. It is available in black for £469.99.
