Glastonbury Festival rewards music fans that cycle

'Green Travellers' initiative to give bike riding festival goers access to improved facilities and discounts
Publish date:

Glastonbury Festival, probably the UK’s best-known music festival, has stepped up its ecologically sound credentials by offering benefits for cyclists.

Festival goers arriving by bike will get free lock-up bike parking and access to an allocated campsite just for cyclists.

The move is part of Glastonbury Festival’s new Green Traveller campaign, aiming to reward cyclists and those arriving at the festival by public transport. Those with a Green Traveller card will get discounts on food and t-shirts, as well as exclusive access to solar showers and compost toilets.

The festival is also running organised rides, where attendees in Bristol or one of the 30 towns within 20 miles of the site will be able to join an organised ride and have their luggage delivered to the Festival.

Head here for more information.

Cyclists riding to the festival can expect to see the likes of U2, Beyonce, Coldplay and The Chemical Brothers.
