Halfords appoints group finance director

Halfords has appointed Andrew Findlay as group finance director.

Set to join the firm on February 1st 2011, Findlay previously worked as director of finance, tax and treasury at Marks and Spencer group, playing a key role in cost saving programmes and improvements in working capital.

He has also held senior finance roles at the London Stock Exchange and at Cable and Wireless, in the UK and US.

"Andrew has an impressive track record and brings extensive financial experience in retail and other competitive, consumer-facing industries," commented Halfords CEO David Wild.

"I am delighted to welcome Andrew to Halfords as we continue to deliver our strategy for long term sustainable growth."
