In a letter to the December Cycling Plus, Paul Joyner, general manager cycling/leisure at Halfords, rubbishes BikeBiz.com stories about Bikehut (the flagship IBD-lookalike store was recently turned into a standard Halfords but, says Joyner, was not a flagship at all), the Halfords £79 bikes Christmas TV advertising campaign and other Halfords stuff as "supposition" and "guesswork". PLUS: in the letter, Joyner joins the Halfords PRO in linking Halfords with Sustrans.
