Halfords will be floated sooner rather than later, say pundits

The Times and Datamonitor's CommentWire are both reporting CVC is getting closer to revealing a sale or float for the 400-store retailer it bought for £427m in July 2002.

There's nothing much in either of these stories that hasn't already appeared on this site, but the flurry of press reports is a possible indication that the mainstream media is being fed 'for sale/to float' stories by financial PRs acting on behalf of Halfords. This is speculative, but that's the way the world operates...
