The 100g FreeLock has been developed by Oredon, a French company. Oredon is staffed by eight people, four of them ex of EGS, the defunct gear syncronisation concept.
Jeffrey Begue, VP of sales, pic below, was displaying the Freelock on a Puch bike on the Cycleurope stand at Eurobike.
The design could be licensed to Asian stem manufacturers, said Begue. Ordeon is working on other bike-specific accessories and products, including electric bikes.
Production models of the Freelock will be available in April 2004.
