Hayes Performance Systems has acquired Reynolds Cycling.

Reynolds will appear at the Taipei Cycle Show from 31st October to 3rd November, where attendees will be able to see the newly launched Reynolds ARX and AR29, 41, and 58/62 carbon road wheels.

Reynolds CEO Scott Montgomery said: “Our team has put together Reynolds’ best collection of wheels ever for 2019 with a complete line of innovative designs to meet the performance demands of the road, mountain, gravel, and emerging e-bike markets.

“With Hayes, we are poised to expand our global dealer network, worldwide distributors, and are on the cusp of bringing in new, world-leading OEM brands.”

Reynolds is the first North American wheel manufacturer to be officially licensed by Shimano for Micro Spline.

Hayes aims to maintain a strong global footprint in existing markets with an ongoing customer-centric focus to support the service, sales, and manufacturing of Reynolds wheels while expanding availability into key market segments.

Hayes Bicycle Group president Darren Campbell said: “Reynolds is a leader in the carbon fiber wheel market, with extensive carbon engineering expertise, company-owned manufacturing production facilities, and a premium brand innovation position.

“We believe our company complements their capabilities to continue the growth of the carbon wheel segment in the future.”
