Organisers describe incredible support from the industry

IBD Summit doubles up and sells out

Organisers of the IBD Summit have described "incredible industry support" with the event having now sold out.

Presented by Interbike, alongside PeopleForBikes and the NBDA, the event has hit its maximum capacity, as well as selling all available sponsorship packages.

“To say that we’re thrilled is an understatement,” said Justin Gottlieb, communications and PR director for Interbike. “At this point we’re looking at more than 225 people attending the event including sponsors, retailers, media, etc – more than twice the amount we’ve had at any single IBD Summit since launching it in 2011.”

The list of attendees and sponsors has grown rapidly over the past 45 days. Recently added sponsors include Shimano, Camelbak, Subrosa, Eddy Merckx and more. Recently added retailers include Bike Line, Bicycle Johns, Helen’s Cycles, Cycle Craft and more. A complete list of all attendees can be found here.

“It’s clear that we struck a nerve within the cycling community,” said Pat Hus, vice president of Interbike. “We plan to deliver a top-notch event that will not only unite us as an industry, it will offer a forum to discuss solutions to the challenges we face today and in the future, as we transition into a new phase of bicycle retail.”

The event takes place on January 27th to 29th at the Marriott Phoenix, Tempe.
