The cycle clothing company won Lincolnshire Echo's Business Innovation Award

Impsport wins business award

The Lincoln company was a finalist in four categories. The gongs were handed out at a black tie dinner at the University of Lincoln.

Impsport was recognised for product and business innovation, with its Kevlar-lined speed skating suit impressing the judges, having been worn by five nations at the Winter Olympics.

The company’s latest product innovation is the introduction of Dry Storm membrane fabric for long sleeve rain jackets and gilets. The fabric is a waterproof and windproof membrane bonded between layers of polyester, enabling the garments to be fully customised to club and team designs.

This new fabric was first used on products produced for the recent British Cyclosportive. It’s now available for club orders of rain jackets and gilets.

Impsport was also named runners-up in the ‘Winning Business’ and ‘Communications Technology’ categories.

MD Dan Ellmore said: “We pride ourselves in supplying quality products, striking designs and excellent customer service. This award for innovation is a reflection of many years of hard work.”
