The full inquest will begin on Tuesday 26 July 2016 into the death of a 26-year-old Strategy Consultant who died in June last year following a collision with a tipper truck at Bank Junction in Central London.

At the inquest, the Deputy Coroner for the City of London, Dr Roy Palmer, will establish the facts surrounding the death of Ying Tao.

Ms Tao was cycling from Clerkenwell to her job at PriceWaterhouseCoopers in London Bridge, where she had worked for three years, when the collision occurred on 22 June 2015.

Ms Tao, originally from Nanjing in eastern China, had a degree in economics from Cambridge and a masters from Oxford. She had married her husband, Jin Chuan Zhou, 13 months earlier.

The lawyer representing the family at the inquest, Sally Moore from the law firm Leigh Day, said: “This was a tragic death of a brilliant young woman. Ying’s family hope that the inquest will determine all the circumstances which led to the loss of their much-loved daughter and wife.”
