Sugru

With plans to host a cycle trade launch in February, Sugru has demonstrated its worth to the cyclist by introducing a handy magnet kit – making it simple as can be to mount lights to lids and GPS units to handlebars.
For the uninitiated, Sugru is a clay like substance that is packaged in foil to keep it fresh. Remove it from the packaging and apply it to anything you’d like held down, or modified to suit. After 24 hours Sugru sets and becomes very difficult to remove, making it ideal for fixing down bike lights and the like.

Whackjob Bamboo socks

Devon’s ethical cycle clothing maker Whackjob has announced the addition of bamboo fibre socks at £12 a pair.
Reinforced in key areas for longevity, the socks don’t go over the top on design, instead choosing to let the fabric do the talking. Bamboo is ideal for socks, being naturally anti-microbial, as well as extremely soft and fast wicking.
Like all other garments from Whackjob, the bamboo is ethically sourced. Retail partners are sought to carry the label, which offers no minimum order terms. Founder Joel Teague is readily available to discuss opportunities.
