Firm behind GoCycle target a higher volume through more retail and distribution partners

Karbon Kinetics outlines aspirations for coming years

The future sales and distribution model of the GoCycle brand "will focus on higher volume and market penetration delivered by robust national and international retail and distribution partners," the parent firm Karbon Kinetics has told BikeBiz.

Ahead of the 2012 launch of the ‘next generation GoCycle 1.5, the firm has outlined its aspirations for the coming years. Richard Thorpe, founder of KKL and designer of Gocycle, said, “We have built up a solid network of resellers throughout Europe. We recognise the importance of providing local language and territory support for both our resellers and end consumers, which is a key part of our transition of sales and distribution to national and international partners in 2011.”

Thorpe continued: “By 2030, urban areas will be home to more than 60 per cent of the projected world population of eight billion people, putting tremendous pressure on the environment, as well as public infrastructure that is already struggling to meet the growing demand for transportation and basic services. This increasing pressure will drive a paradigm shift in city transportation, and a new breed of sustainable personal urban transportation will emerge. Our long-term vision is to be a leader in this market with Gocycle: cool, green electric transport for an affordable price.”

It has also been revealed that KKL will deliver a ‘G2’ model in 2013. Distribution enquiries from around the world are now welcomed by KKL.

Gocycle won the Product Innovation BikeBiz Award earlier this year.
