Knog's Oi Bell has won "Best Product Design: Sports and Lifestyle" at the Australian Good Design Awards 2016, held in Sydney. The overall prized went to the Flow Hive, a no-open bee hive that bottles honey automatically. Other winners included Microsoft, Mazda, and Braun.

Knog is an Australian company. The Oi bell was launched on Kickstarter earlier this year, raising more than AU$1m from 20,787 backers.

Knog's co-founder and CEO said: "We’re excited to get recognition ahead of some remarkable products and established brands, but we’re just as excited to get the first finished samples so we can get them in the hands of our Kickstarter backers and global retailers."

In the UK Knog is distributed by Silverfish.
