The course for this weekend's Knog Muddy Hell is taking shape, with more mud promised, as well as higher wallrides and three tons more sand in the pit section.

For spectators the bar will be stocking eight different beers and farmhouse cider to sup, while cheering the riders who race through the bar itself. Knog returns to support the event and has provided a £2,500 prize list. For the riders there is the promise of a podium boy and gorgeous girl to award the prizes supplied by Ananichoola.

All 320 rider places sold out some time ago, but it's free to spectate and there will also be free Rollapaluza roller-racing and DJs, plus for younger cross fans free face painting and giveaways.

The event takes place from 5pm to 10.30pm on Saturday at:

Herne Hill Stadium
Burbage Road
Herne Hill
London
SE24 9HE
