Kryptonite produces limited edition version of its New York Lock; 10 will be auctioned at Interbike

The red, white and blue Kryptonite lock will be available for ordering at Interbike in Las Vegas. 300 are to be produced. All will be numbered. Numbers 1-10 will be auctioned from the Kryptonite stand at the show.

"Kryptonite has created this limited edition lock as a symbol of the toughness of the American spirit," said Gary S. Furst, president of Kryptonite.

"Like most people worldwide, the Kryptonite family was deeply affected by the tragedies of September 11th. Creating this commemorative USA Lock is meant to honour and, in a small way, help some of the people this tragedy has touched the most."

The special locks will be sold for $80 a piece.

The open auction for the ten numbered locks will start bidding as soon as the show opens on Sunday, September 30th and run through 2pm Wednesday, October 3rd on the Kryptonite stand. Delivery of the commemorative locks will be in December.
