"Unlike Ultimate Products, the previous license holder, 2x2 are solely a bicycle trade company run by people who have spent the last 20 years in the industry and who will be focusing on delivering a great product and great service to not only the UK trade but also into Europe and beyond," said 2x2's sales director, Scott Hillyard.

Land Rover license moves to 2×2 Ltd.

2×2 Ltd is based in Tamworth, Staffordshire. The new company started selling Land Rover bikes yesterday.

Scott Hillyard, formerly of Ultimate Cycles, formed 2×2 Ltd. to take on the Land Rover brand. He, and other former Falcon staffers, worked on the Land Rover line for Ultimate Cycles, an offshoot of a kitchenware specialist.

The company will also be running with an own-label business:

"We service numerous own-label customers, many of which have been with us for a number of years, the most high profile being the Revolution range for Edinburgh Bicycle Co-op and will continue to develop this alongside the long-term Land Rover project," said Hillyard.

The 2006 range of Land Rover product which was launched at the joint Land Rover/Kona/Felt dealer road shows in October 2005 is now available ex-stock.
