Lazer Sport recalls bike helmets due to "safety risk"

The recall involves models Blade, Elle, Jade and Magma
Publish date:

Lazer Sport has voluntarily recalled some of its bike helmets which it has identified have not passed roll-off tests under CPSC standards.

As a result, in rare circumstances, the strap anchorage may detach from the helmet during impact.

The recall involves models Blade, Elle, Jade and Magma.

Lazer is printed on the side of the helmet and Model LZB-08 is printed on a sticker inside the helmet.

Only helmets in the sizes below are included in the recall - Blade: XS and S, Elle: S, Jade: S and Magma: S.

Consumers who own these helmets have been advised to stop using them immediately and contact Shimano for instructions on how to receive a free replacement.

No incidents have been reported so far and Lazer has said it considers the safety risk to be low.
