After two councils have signed a pledge to only use the best-equipped lorries and best-trained drivers, the London Cycling Campaign (LCC) has released a video to encourage more councils to do the same.
The LCC’s ‘Safer Lorries, Safer Cycling’ video is pitched as a call to arms for cyclists to back the campaign.
The video points out that: "50 per cent of cyclist fatalities involve lorries…yet lorries are only five per cent of traffic."
The video was written and directed by award-winning photographer and filmmaker, Klaus Thymann and featuring music by Hot Chip’s Alexis Taylor.
