Limar and Thule win iF Design Awards

Brands from the bike trade pick up the coveted prizes
Publish date:

Limar and Thule have both been garned with praise from the iF Design Award 2013 jury.

The Velov helmet scored the win for Limar – a unique product offering the rider the opportunity of removable plates to increase ventilation accordingly to weather conditions. The protection plates are comfortable during winter or rainy season and they can be removed for 'power cooling'.

Pitched at urban commuters and for all cyclists in general, the light, versatile helmet comes in two sizes – M (52-57) and L (57-62) – is CE and AS approved and CPSC pending.

Meanwhile Thule's WingBar Edge roof rack also scored a coveted iF Product Design Award. The slim aluminium rack is one of the lowest and aerodynamic on the market.

"It can easily be left on the car even when it is not needed," explained Fredrik Erlandsson, Thule Group senior Vp of communications. "Like all our products, the roof rack has gone through a number of tests, and the prize verifies that our products meet very high quality demands from both design and functionality perspectives."

In the UK Moore Large distributes Limar to bike retailers, with the Velov available in spring. Madison supplies Thule to the trade and the WingBar Edge will also be available in spring.
