Manchester’s Bike & Triathlon Show 2014 will be 33% bigger

The follow up to the debut Bike & Triathlon Show will see exhibition space increase 33 per cent.

Taking place over the weekend of Saturday March 8th and Sunday March 9th 2014 in Manchester, the Bike & Triathlon Show is backed by British Cycling, Zoggs, BikeBiz, Sports Tours International, Triathlon England, Royles, USN and National Open Water Coaching Association.

Key names confirmed for the event include Cervelo, Rose, KTM, Starley,Champion Systems, Matrix, Roux, ADR Carbon and Fiz’ik. And from the world of triathlon USN, Ceepo, Rotor, Compress Sport, Blueseventy, Zoot, Lezyne, Speedfi and Compex will all be showcasing their latest products.

Last year’s show saw 6,000 people attend.

“We were thrilled with the success of the first show, and we have already had a very strong response from many exhibitors who have rebooked the space for next year," said Colin Gale, event manager at Hamerville Media Group. "We’re also excited to announce some brand new names who will be appearing at the show.”

The show will include the Trade Lounge, open on the Sunday and offering exhibitors an area to relax and enjoy refreshments. Sponsored by BikeBiz, exhibitors can also hold scheduled trade meetings in the Trade Lounge.

Interactive features at the show will include Street Velodrome, a pop-up track racing style cycle event which is set to tour the UK during 2014 as a televised series. Visitors will also have the chance to tackle Rollapaluza.

Sports travel operator Sports Tours International are amongst the exhibitors who have signed up for the second year of the Bike & Triathlon Show, and will be hosting an interactive sports café where visitors will be able to get advice about their next sporting event.

Gale added: “The sporting community in the North West is very active which is why the show has proved so popular. We’re looking forward to returning to Manchester next year, and with the Tour de France route starting in Yorkshire it’s a big year for cycling and this will play a key theme at the show.”
