MiTAC Europe, the company behind high-end cycling navigation brand Mio Cyclo, has unveiled a new distribution deal with Raleigh.

Mio Cyclo represents a family of three navigation series with a range of practical, easy to use features. All have navigation, pre-installed maps and the unique Surprise Me feature. High end models come with extras such as an ANT+ sensor, heart-rate monitor, cadence sensor, Bluetooth and WiFi.

The Mio Cyclo Series has been in the European market since 2012, during which time user feedback has been channelled into new features, which are available via a software update so even the very first users can benefit from the new added features.

One such feature is "Where Am I", which enables user to see and send your position in case of emergency. Also, all ANT+ devices now connect to the Shimano Di2 electronic bicycle shifting systems. The premium Cyclo 500 series offers connectivity to many phones, so you are able to read texts and answer calls. You can listen to your favorite music while cycling, and even receive voice instructions. Finally, the Cyclo 505 is able to offer Actual Track Resistance for indoor trainers.

Business development manager at Raleigh Paul Cook, said: “Here at Raleigh Bike Parts we are all very excited about working with the Mio brand. The current Mio line up features amazing products, with the promise of additional innovative products and features to come in the near future. Working in partnership with Mio we have created a stockist program for 2015 that includes an industry leading retailer support package and marketing programme.”

Sales director for MiTAC Europe Harold Cobben added: “We are very excited to team up with Raleigh for the distribution of our Mio Cyclo Series and look forward to a strong cooperation. Raleigh has a long experience in the distribution into the bicycle channel and its specific needs. We are convinced that we have chosen the right partner with the mindset of a winner to grow the cycling market in the UK. Together we will bring cyclists the best experience in bicycle navigation.”
