Youre reading this online so you must have at least a working knowledge of IT but if you want to step up a level or two, and need a bit of hand-holding to do it, MIT Ltd says it provides a bike trade specific IT service.

You can get a bespoke IT package by going direct to MIT Ltd it offers everything from providing a machine as part of a solution, to training the retailer in how to use it, from designing a web site, to registering a domain name and hosting the finished site, or you can soon log on to the ACTs website and select from one of the three new Supported Distance Learning courses

According to MIT Ltd, this is for those who already have IT in store or in the home, who wish to optimise its use.

Courses will run from October 1st 2000, will each take about nine hours work, spread over four weeks to complete, and will cost ACT members £119.00 plus VAT per candidate. Non-ACT members pay a slightly higher rate. Details will be posted to cyclesource.co.uk, the ACTs website, on September 18th.

The first three courses are Winning Business on the Web, Use of MS Word for Document Management and Effective Use of MS Outlook.
