Field increased to 750 riders for the first time ever

More riders than ever for Brompton World Championship

The Brompton World Championship V is set to take place on Sunday October 3rd at Blenheim Palace, Oxfordshire with more spaces for riders.

Popular demand has seen the event organiser open the field to 750 riders, and will welcome the winners of previous Brompton National Championships around the world.

The event is in its fifth year and its third in the UK.

As ever, the cyclists will be required to dress well; helmets are a must, as are blazers or suit jackets, collared shirt and tie. Sports attire is outlawed, unless it is hidden by approved hit.

“The BWC is a great day out," commented Brompton’s sales and marketing director Emerson Roberts. "It’s a fun event, with a competitive edge, that really unifies Brompton riders from around the world and provides an awesome spectacle for their families and friends. The event really showcases the racing performance of our bikes and brings them to the attention of new audiences everywhere.”

Katharine Horsman, the event organiser, added: “Positions on the grid will still be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis so if you are keen to get ahead of the field, it will pay to register early.”

Deadline for entries is Sunday September 19th, or whenever the event is full.
