And there's an auction of surplus bicycles set for June

National Cycle Collection extends opening hours

The National Cycle Collection, Llandrindod Wells, Wales, will now be open from April until the end of October.

The NCC – reportedly the largest collection of bicycles of all ages on display in the UK – is open Monday to Friday, with weekend opening for groups by arrangement.

An auction of surplus bicycles has been organised for Saturday 9th June at the NCC’s home in Llandrindod Wells. Check the website www.cyclemuseum.org.uk or call 01597 825531 for updates nearer the sale date.

The National Cycle Collection is inviting sponsors to contact the museum to feature on its online archive library pages and exhibits from the museum have been booked to appear at various shows and events already this year.

The Collection has told BikeBiz it has had a busy spring schools visit programme, where staff from the museum visit primary schools, with a selection of bicycles in the Mid/South Wales and Border areas. There’s more details on that and more at the website.
