Hutchinson has released its Atom Clincher, which has been seen only on team Radioshack’s bikes to date.
Weighing in at 185 grams, the tyre is the lightest in the firm’s range, yet features a tough 127tpi casing with 100 per cent polyamid anti-puncture reinforcement.
“The Atom Comp is completely new from the ground up,” states Dana Carson, GM of Hutchinson North America.
“it’s super light, our engineers have been able to add polyamid flat protection from bead-to-bead, and we’re offering more color options than ever before. This is a true top-of-the-line tire for non-tubular wheels. The RadioShack team has been using the Atom Comps when they run clinchers, and have given ‘thumbs way up’ for the straight ahead speed and corner-grabbing characteristics of the Atom Comp.”
