New products feted at trade show

The tagline Some day all bicycles will look like this was taken on board by voters in the New Product awards at the Cycle & Leisure Show. EP-X walked off with three of the top prizes, including first and second in the Best New Adult Cycle award
Publish date:

With arms punched into the air, hoops of joy and the odd tear or two from Tasha Bettison (as well as some classic Malaysian reserve from Vivien Lim), EP-X wiped the board at the New Products Awards ceremony held just before stand-breakdown on the final day of the Cycle & Leisure Show.

EP-X even won the FashionClothing/Ancillary Award despite not producing any clothing!

Vivien Lim of EP-X was in bouyant mood when BikeBiz got hold of her this morning:

Weve worked so hard since the formation of EP-X and this is the icing on the cake. It proves that the team made the right decisions. EP-X is going in exactly the right direction. We owe those who voted for us a very big thank you!

Another notable winner was David Wilsher, president of the ACT. His supply company Mission notched the top slot in the childrens bike category.

The full list of Award winners are:

1st EP-X Speedster from EP-MB

2nd EP-X Mako from EP-MB

1st 12 Muskateer trike from Mission

2nd 12 Winnie-the-Pooh bike from MV Sports & Leisure

1st Eurolight lockable lighting set from Eurolight Marketing

2nd Di Bar twin lampset from Universal Cycles

1st Mavic Crossmax USP wheel from RJ Chicken & Sons

2nd XC4 Hydro disc brake, Hope Technology

FASHION Clothing/Ancillary

1st Dirtsurfer from EP-MB

2nd Micro Scooter from Be One bikes

Coincidentally and this is a message to anybody deliberating which trade mag to advertise in ALL the top award winners are recent advertisers in BicycleBusiness! Neither of the two other trade mags have had adverts from all the top award winners. Just thought youd like to know that...
