Thule merges Chariot product into catalogue, Hiplok adds wearable D Lock and the OdPod develops value for money bike stands

New Products: Hiplok, OdPod, Thule and Tern

Hiplok D lock and Pop
Walkers Cycles: 01162 833885

Jumping on a trend to wear D locks, Hiplok has come up with a unique clip system integrated into the body of the Sold Secure rated D lock. It can easily be attached to belts and bag straps as well as fit firmly into pockets while on the bike.
With a hardened steel shackle and a slim profile body, it’s available in several colours and will retail at the £59.99 price point.
Also debuted at Eurobike, the Hiplok Pop is a new cable lock that uses the brands patent pending ‘pop’ system to easily adjust to the rider’s waist. Available in six colours from neon to classic, Hiplok Pop can be customised to suit the rider.
Stock for both of those latest Hiplok iterations will land with Walkers this Autumn.

OdPod
Direct to dealer: 07956 575625

Perhaps one of the more affordable everyday use bike stands on the market, the OdPod is now available to retail.
Costing £34.95 RRP, the unit will give dealers a 35 per cent margin and unlike many competitor’s products, will pack down to fit in most bike bags for use on the move. The unit can be stripped down in minutes to its component parts using just a multi-tool and tuck into those smaller storage spaces. The stand is compatible with all wheel sizes. A ‘Team Rack’ version of the OdPod is also now in stock, will retail at £165 and includes a tough, purpose-made tote-bag.
Further products are also now in stock, with the brand knocking out a customisable tool chest dubbed the OdBox. A standard OdBox package retails for £240.

Thule child carriers
Madison: 01908 326000

You may recognise the pictured child carrier. As a result of Chariot and Thule merging as of October 1st, the Swedish innovator now has its own buggies. Chariot has been part of the Thule group since 2011.
As part of Thule’s new ‘Active with Kids’ product drive, Thule CEO Magnus Welander said: “There is a natural fit between Chariots more than 20 years’ experience in child carrying solutions and Thule. We are dedicated to develop the ‘Active with Kids’ category over the coming years, in the same successful way as we have developed new products and categories in the bike and sport and outdoor categories for more than 70 years.”
Thule’s new carriers will retain many of chariot’s proprietary developments and look to build on the product. Flick to page 27 of this issue to read more about Thule’s new products as spotted at Eurobike.

Tern Node
CycleMotion: 01580755633

Based around the 24-inch wheel, Tern has launched the Node series, featuring the brand’s N-Fold technology.
With the goal of retaining the handling of a full sized bike, but with the convenience of a small fold, the designers have created a bike that will pack down in ten seconds and have the same footprint as a 20-inch folder when not in use.
Two models join the catalogue – the D7i and D8. The first uses a dependable Shimano 7-speed internal hub gear and comes decked out with mudguards, rack chain protection and dynamo lighting. Meanwhile, the cheaper D8 carries an eight speed Neos derailleur.
The Node’s larger 24-inch wheels and stiffer frame better accommodates big and tall riders. The bikes are designed for riders of up to 115 kg and 195 cm.
