New Ribble Gran Fondo now available

Ribble Cycles is launching its newest bike for 2017, the Ribble Gran Fondo.

The new bike has been designed to offer Ribble’s most comfortable ride for long distance cycling. With this in mind, the Gran Fondo has been completely redesigned for improved comfort and fit.

The geometry for 2017 has been overhauled to help achieve the optimum on-bike fit. The bike benefits from a slightly longer headtube design for a less aggressive position and the angle has been relaxed in conjunction with increasing the wheelbase of the bike for a more stable ride.

Whilst comfort has been addressed through these geometry changes, Ribble has also addressed compliance as a key consideration for the 2017 model. S-shaped seatstays and a new 27.2mm seatpost help to disperse road vibration, whilst improved tyre clearance allows for larger tyres to be spaced as standard.

The frame is now up-to-date with internal cable routing and offers compatibility with electronic groupsets such as the Shimano Di2 and the Campagnolo EPS.

Ribble product and brand director James Dove said: “Our Gran Fondo is the perfect bike for those who are looking for a relaxed comfortable ride. The change we’ve made for 2017 to the geometry is something we wanted to do to help underpin what this bike has been designed to do. Its upright geometry and stable handling makes it a bike that’s a pleasure to ride whether on your biggest target rides of the year, or out with friends at the weekends.”
