Light sensitive lenses aimed at the cycle market now available

Oakley teams up with Transitions for Jawbone frames

Oakley has teamed up with Transitions lenses to produce the Jawbone frames.

Released this summer, the Jawbone is available with Transitions lenses which tackle varying light situations during competition. The lenses react to light, so riders can avoid wearing lenses that are either too dark in low light conditions or not dark enough in bright light and eyestrain were among the main issues for riders.

The Oakley Jawbone with Transitions lenses are available from £230.

Transitions Optical is official eyewear partner to Team Garmin-Cervelo. The team’s David Millar said: “It’s huge to have clear vision for your confidence when descending or negotiating a dicey pack of riders. Transitions lenses react to the conditions; they’ll change with the weather – you only need one set of lenses, that’s so cool.”
