Over 300,000 people have obtained a bike through Cyclescheme

Cycle to Work provider Cyclescheme has seen the 300,000th person to buy a bike for work through its scheme, since it was set up on Valentine’s Day 2005.

Through its network Cyclescheme works with over 1,800 independent bike shops and 35,000 employers in the UK.

In a recent Cyclescheme survey, 88 per cent of people taking part noticed health benefits since they started commuting to work by bike while 96 per cent said they would recommend Cyclescheme to others.

53 per cent of respondents did not cycle to work at all before joining the scheme.
