The bike trade and wider cycle world have been asked to help after a full suspension prototype Identiti Mettle was stolen during testing.

The bike was pinched from a company van in Newmarket, Suffolk, after a testing trip to Wales.

It is the only Mettle prototype in existence.

Pat Campbell Jenner told BikeBiz: "The Mettle prototype was part of our on-going redevelopment of our brand Identiti and with the help of Michael Bonney the Mettle sits in the first wave of new products we’re working on. This theft only slows down our testing and development process, and we were hoping to get more testing done soon, which now puts back our timeline."

The one of a kind bike has the serial number 'M2' scratched in by hand on the bottom of the bb shell. It has no paint, and currently has grey vinyl rub on stickers in the Identiti logo and 'prototype' on the top tube.

The firm added: "We want this bike back, so please share this to everyone and hopefully we can get it recovered."

It's built with the following spec:

2016 MRP Stage forks in 160mm
XO1 groupset
SRAM Guide RSC brakes, 180mm rotors
Reverb Stealth 125mm
Renthal Apex 50mm stem
Renthal Fatbar Lite Carbon bars 30mm
Halo Vapour 35 Stealth wheels
Schwalbe Magic Mary front tyre and Nobby Nic rear
HT X2 pedals in grey
ODI Elite grips
MRP AMg v2 chain guide

"This is the only one of this bike in the world currently. Share this and let’s get the reach as far as possible."
