A statement from Shimano Europe said PRO was the "fastest growing bicycle accessory brand in the industry." In the UK the PRO range is now handled by Madison.
The new PRO signature products include a handlebar, stem, seat-post, bar-ends and grips. There’s also a full-finger glove line.
PRO’s product manager Marcel Gerritsen – "vice-World champion mountain biker in 1993" – is responsible for the product line.
"It was nice working with Bart again, his input was of great value for us and really makes a difference," said Gerritsen.
Brentjens bike is already kitted out with prototypes of the new kit.
Brentjens said: "It’s strange to see your ideas translated into actual products. I’ve tested everything in racing and I can really be proud to put my signature on them."
