Website developer Generation Y has launched what is claimed to be the first teenager-specific web portal, a site that is a doorway to a whole load of teenage-friendly websites.
Under 18s will not need credit cards when they use the portal payment system called Y-creds.
According to Generation Y, at least 25 percent of the UK teen population is
online, with the average 14-16 year old having £13 to spend per week.
Y-creds are paid for in advance (using the parental credit card or standing order)
and can be bought in units of 500 where each Y-cred is worth 1p.
www.y-creds.co.uk doesnt yet have any bike shops listed, nor any suppliers selling online. An opportunity, then?
