Red Cloud to handle WhackJob PR

Bamboo t-shirt company hailing from the south west employs Almond's expertise

Cycle marketing and PR firm Red Cloud has been enlisted to help spread the word about a new clothing brand from the south west called Whackjob.

The clothing brand works exclusively with super-smooth Bamboo fibre, which naturally wicks moisture, repels odour and has anti-bacterial properties. The initial designs are divided into two collections. The “a bit special’ collection comprises T-shirt designs featuring the popular Whackjob character showing his love for all things mountain bike. Secondly, the ‘a bit abstract’ collection is just that, abstract, and is designed to be what founder Joel Teague describes as something "a little different from other shirts that riders will see out on the trail."

A further range of dedicated trail jerseys is in the pipeline, as well as a full marketing, sponsorship and PR campaign courtesy of Red Cloud.

A margin is available for retailers looking for a casualwear and jerseys brand and stock is available on general release from August.

"Whackjob was founded with one key principle in mind.” said Teague. “Fun.”

“We spend a lot of time ensuring our products can trace an ethical and sustainable path back to their origins. This runs right through to the bamboo and cotton being organically grown and sourced through certified, fair trading schemes. Even the ink and printing process has to be ecologically as good as you can get.”

“It’s an exciting time for Whackjob. This is just the beginning and we’re delighted to be working with Mark to help bring it all together and make it happen” he concluded.

The website is currently under development, but all the key product and company information can be found at where you can also find contact information if you would like to discuss stocking the range
