New distribution deal for US brand

Reece Cycles snaps up Schwinn

Schwinn Bicycles has announced a new distribution deal with Reece Cycles of Birmingham.

The new deal kicks off with the 2009 range which has been unveiled at the Eurobike show.

"We are excited at the opportunity to distribute and relaunch such a historical and reputed brand such as Schwinn," said Reece Cycles’ sales manager Steve Homewood.

Schwinn’s director of international sales Jeff Weiss added: "The UK holds enormous potential for Schwinn and is a key market for our business. We’re excited to re-enter the market not only with what we feel is Schwinn’s best line-up of bikes in years, but also to be partnered with an exceptional distributor in Reece Cycles.

"The decision reflects the confidence we have in Reece Cycles providing excellent support to the dealers and penetrating the IBD channels with Schwinn’s exciting new line-up."
