Road.cc's Fantasy Cycling game, built from the ground up last year to great success, returns on January 22nd with the start of the Tour Down Under.

The 2012 Fantasy Cycling game generated over 2.5 million page impressions overall, and saw nearly 6,000 teams participate. As the game has gathered momentum and stimulated high levels of interest and discussion in the UK road cycling sector, Road.cc told BikeBiz it anticipates 7,500 teams entering in 2013 and generating around 3.5 million impressions.

Fantasy cycling places entrants in the position of the Directeur Sportif, who will choose nine riders, scoring points based on how well each performs during the year at various cycling events. There are 26 races for premium members and 14 open to all entrants.

The multi award winning website road.cc has doubled in size - 3,808,609 people visited road.cc in 2012 and the site now averages over 500,000 unique users per month. (Google analytics verified)
