Titanium skewers and seat post on the way, alongside aluminium seat clamp

Sabbath branching into aftermarket components

Titanium specialist bicycle maker Sabbath has announced that it will branch into select aftermarket components.

The manufacturer has so far revealed three products, with a Reynolds 3Al/2.5V titanium seatpost taking the limelight in press reports so far. Road.cc states that the seatpost weighs just 205 grams, including the firm’s seatclamp. Sabbath’s seatpost differentiates itself from competiton by offering 10mm of set back, as opposed to the common 20 and 25mm measurement.

Greg Roche, MD of Sabbath said: “It’s a small thing, but as we’re doing more and more custom fit frames, and therefore bike set up to specific requirements, we spotted that for whatever reason, there’s a gap in the middle, and typically we’re seeing that a 10mm setback lands a rider right in the middle of the saddle rail. So we decided our product should meet that requirement.”

Other new items include an aluminium seat clamp and titanium skewers, details of which can be seen here.
