Andy Wigmore's company will take over the UK distribution of Zipp from Ciclismo on 1st July. Saddleback has also been awarded a gong from Felt and is currently pumping out high-end Castelli cycling clobber.

Saddleback puts a Zipp in its step

Zipp is the "world’s most technically advanced high-end wheel brand," said Andy Wigmore, chuffed to add the brand to his growing portfolio.

This portfolio includes top-end Italian clothing brand, Castelli.

"We had been looking to distribute a high end clothing line for a while and were in discussions with a couple of well-known brands when we had an approach from Castelli. Their brand reputation and history needs no introduction and it was a perfect fit for our strategy. Castelli are the most technical company in cycle clothing and their tie up with David Millar and the Saunier Duval team for 2007 proves that."

Newly signed Castelli dealers have already started to receive summer ’07 clothing and Saddleback dealers are starting to preview the winter ’07 range.

Saddleback was recently awarded the Felt International Distributor of the Year for 2007. The gong was handed over
at a Felt Bicycles distributor meeting held in Hamburg, Germany.

"This was a huge honour for us as we have only been distributing Felt in the UK for two years," said Wigmore.

"We certainly wouldn’t have achieved this without the great support we have received from our staff and dealers alike."

Felt has 32 international distributors. Saddleback is the biggest apart from the Felt-owned US and German businesses.
